Our Story
Our family has been on this farm since 1937. This was a dairy farm, with rolling hills and woodlands for pasture. In the early 1960's, Jim's father was injured and sold the dairy cows. They continued with beef cows and sheep until 1983 when all livestock was sold off the farm. The farm is named after Jim's father, Wesley Johansen, to honor him and Jim's mother for instilling in him the rural values anchored deep in his soul which fuel the desire for our family to be good stewards of the land here. In 2018, Jim's daughter, Rebekah and her husband Mark returned to the farm with their two boys. While we are always learning new methods to improve our practices, we continue to draw on tried and true farming methods from years ago.
